Scotch blue whisky is a Blended Scotch Whisky from the Scotch Blue Distilling Company located in Edinburgh, the historical capital of Scotland, the home of Scotch Whisky. The art of distilling has been part of our Scottish heritage since 1494. Scotch Blue is a distinguished and high quality Blended Scotch Whisky which delivers a truly refined taste with honoured tradition. Our Master Blender has skilfully crafted Scotch Blue Blended Scotch Whisky from our own selected casks of aged Single Grain and Single Malt Scotch Whiskies of various ages, and as by tradition, also from other carefully selected distilleries, some of which are located in the heart of Speyside, also known as The Golden Square, an area located along the banks of the river Spey. Only the finest ingredients of Grain and Malted Barley are chosen for producing Scotch Blue, then fused with Natural Highland Spring Water to create a delicate distillate known as New Spirit. This will then be filled into seasoned Oak Casks at the Distilleries where it will slowly mature and capture the flavours of the regions around Scotland. We cannot underestimate the artful skills and responsibility of the Master Blender, acquired from a lifelong dedication and experience in the Scotch Whisky industry, tirelessly checking and sampling the New Spirit from each Cask before maturation commences, as throughout its long maturation period at the various Distillery warehouses. A fusion of only the finest Grain and Malt Scotch Whiskies, some which come from those vetted Scotch Blue Distilleries nestled in the heart of Speyside, perhaps the worlds most renowned region of Scotland, host to almost 60% of all Scotch Malt Whisky produced today. Indeed, while Speyside is a small region in the North East of Scotland it can surely put acclaim as the home to nearly 50 wonderful distilleries. Together with these Single Malts, Scotch Blue also bring to you in its blend, a careful selection of Single Malts from other Distilleries in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, each coming together to create a harmonious mellow flavour.
